Basement under existing property – London
This challenging project involved constructing a full basement beneath an occupied two-storey property in London. The primary challenge was maintaining structural stability while excavating below the existing foundations without causing movement or structural damage to the occupied building.
Delta Force Construction carried out carefully sequenced underpinning to support the structure at all times, allowing safe excavation and construction below. This was followed by reinforced concrete works and full waterproofing. The result was a strong, fully watertight shell delivered safely with no movement to the existing structure — exactly what the client needed.
Garden basement build – new structure
We completed a new build basement in a rear garden, designed to support a new structure above. The challenge here was creating a structurally sound basement that could bear the load of the new build, requiring precise excavation, foundation design, and reinforced concrete construction.
Our solution involved designing and constructing robust reinforced concrete foundations and walls to ensure full load-bearing capacity and long-term stability.
